Deepika Anand, PhD
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in treating a range of conditions including anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, impulse control, personality disorders and sequelae of trauma. Using scientifically validated principles of behavior, I collaborate with clients in a flexible and culturally-sensitive manner to identify and work toward their individual treatment goals. It takes immense courage to seek help when feeling vulnerable - this courage inspires me every day in the work that I do.
I completed my undergraduate and masters-level training in Bangalore, India, where I was raised, before moving to the U.S. to do my PhD in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Duke University Medical Center. I then gained post-doctoral training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before returning to Duke as clinical faculty. I practiced psychotherapy and trained clinicians at the Department of Psychiatry outpatient clinic at Duke until December 2020 before moving to Chicago to start my own practice.
*I am currently licensed in Illinois and North Carolina and can see patients from North Carolina via telehealth.
